The Sourcing product in the GEP QUANTUM suite features the most powerful and effective set of sourcing tools available to enterprise procurement teams today. Sourcing allows collaborative RFx authoring, real-time auctions, and provides supplier intelligence. Other noteworthy features included are bid optimization, multi-round negotiations, and approvals.

In this release, 05 features/enhancements have been added to Sourcing.

 

RFx - Auto Outbound for Suppliers upon Awarding

With this release, once an event reaches the Awarding status, the application automatically triggers an interface outbound (JSON) file for all Suppliers who have submitted responses.

RFx - Non-Duplication of Timelines

With this release, the application restricts you from adding timelines with duplicate names. Similar to the restriction on questionnaire names, you cannot create timelines that coincide with standard timelines such as Response Timeline, Evaluation Timeline, or Confirmation Timeline.

RFx – Enhancements to Response Timelines

With this release, enabling the event setting automatically closes the response timeline if all the Suppliers have responded within the specified time.

Additionally, if the domain setting is enabled, the Timelines section displays an option to extend or close the Response Timeline, without enabling automated timelines.

RFx – Ability to Export and Import Lines in Sourcing Request

With this release, similar to RFx Price Sheet download, you can export line details from a Sourcing Request, update them in MS Excel, and upload them back.

The behavior is conditional based on the Limit RFx Creation activity:

Case 1: Activity Not Assigned

  • You can download and upload line details via MS Excel.

  • Adding new lines in MS Excel and uploading them is permitted.

  • Standard details of rows that are added from the Item master are non-editable

  • New line details entered in MS Excel are editable, and new lines will be created upon upload.

Case 2: Activity Assigned

  • You can download and upload line details via MS Excel only if at least one line item from the Item Master exists on the UI.

  • If no Item Master line exists, the application displays a Please add at least one item in the line item section to download the line items in the Excel template error message.

  • Adding new lines in MS Excel and uploading them is not permitted.

  • Standard details of Item Master lines remain non-editable.

 

RFx - Enhancement to Awarding Process with TPRM Risk Validation

With this release, the application validates assessment statuses before awarding in cases where the TPRM risk assessment is applicable. Awarding is allowed if the Supplier’s assessment status is in the permissible list. Additionally, a new trigger point is introduced to apply TPRM rules when an RFx is approved.
